Cause
The control unit (ECU) does not respond or responds slowly to the encryption command from the diagnostic tool (diagnostic app).
Corrective Action
Verify that the diagnostic tool (diagnostic app) is updated to the latest version.
Check for any aftermarket equipment. Remove it, and then retry the upgrade.
The vehicle control unit (ECU) may be faulty. It is recommended to retry the upgrade at least three times.
