Intermittent AUTO VIN Detection and Unable to Perform Vehicle Diagnosis in Kia KDS 2.0

1. Symptom

- AUTO VIN does not work in KDS 2.0, and the vehicle selection screen continues to be displayed. All communication attempts fail even when the VIN is searched manually.
- A 2011 Sportage that could not be diagnosed using KDS 2.0 reportedly communicated normally when tested with KDS (3rd generation) at the same time.

- On a 2022 Porter II, KDS 2.0 continuously fails to retrieve the VIN through AUTO VIN. When the vehicle is selected manually and communication is attempted,
all communication functions fail, including Smart Diagnosis, Fault Diagnosis, and Sensor Data. AUTO VIN is detected intermittently, but communication is not possible.
- On a 2025 Staria HEV, AUTO VIN does not work and communication with all systems fails, although no vehicle fault is present.
- The same symptom occurs even after force-closing the app, clearing the storage and cache, and restarting the app.

Cause

 - The issue was confirmed to be a temporary error and did not recur after retrying.
