If you receive an event file from KMC or HMC, you must first copy it to the SD card used with the CVCI.
Follow the instructions below.
1. Delete all data from the SD card.
Format the SD card and ensure that it is empty.
When formatting the card, select FAT/32KB.
2. Insert the SD card into the CVCI.
3. Pair the CVCI with the trigger module (optional).

* If you are unsure whether the CVCI and trigger module are paired correctly, perform the pairing procedure. Otherwise, proceed to step 4.
As a precaution, re-pair the CVCI with the trigger module.
* If the CVCI and trigger module cannot be paired, repeat the pairing procedure several times.
If the issue persists, there may be a hardware problem with the CVCI or trigger module.
Contact us if either device requires repair.
4. Copy the event file to the SD card.
Copy the event file received from KMC or HMC to the SD card, and then insert the card into the CVCI.
5. Connect the CVCI to the vehicle's OBD-II connector.
6. Connect the trigger module to the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket.
7. When the "Enter" button on the trigger module lights green, the system is ready for a test drive.
* If the "Enter" button on the trigger module does not light green at this stage, there is a problem with the event file, not with the CVCI or trigger module.
Contact KMC or HMC—the organization that provided the event file—or the distributor hotline listed in GSW, and provide the vehicle's ROM ID.
Ask them to verify whether the ROM ID is compatible with the event file.
