Kia KDS 2.0 Intermittent AUTO VIN Recognition and Vehicle Diagnosis Failure

1. Symptoms

- AUTO VIN recognition fails in KDS 2.0, and the vehicle selection screen continues to appear. (All communication attempts fail even when the VIN is searched manually.)
- A 2011 Sportage that could not be diagnosed using KDS 2.0 reportedly communicated normally when tested with KDS (3rd generation) at the same time.

- On a 2022 Porter 2, KDS 2.0 continuously fails to retrieve the VIN through AUTO VIN. When the vehicle is selected manually and communication is attempted,
all communication fails (Smart Diagnosis, Fault Diagnosis, Sensor Data, etc.). AUTO VIN is recognized intermittently, but communication remains unavailable.
- On a 2025 Staria HEV, AUTO VIN recognition fails. The vehicle has no issues, but communication with all systems fails.
- The same symptoms occur after force-closing the app, clearing the storage and cache, and reopening the app.

Cause

 - This was confirmed to be a temporary error, and no issue occurred after retrying.
