Symptom: During the ECU upgrade, error code [5021-27-7F33] occurs.
Cause: The control unit returns negative response code 33 for the ECU upgrade security command.
Resolution:
1. Log out of the diagnostic tool, log back in, and retry. Make sure Wi-Fi or LTE/5G is connected when logging in.
2. Check whether the ECU upgrade was performed in Automatic Mode or Manual Mode.
3. If it was performed in Manual Mode, verify that the ECU upgrade was attempted using the correct subcategory for the control unit.
4. Check whether any aftermarket equipment is installed in the vehicle.
5. Check whether any work has been performed on the gateway installed in the vehicle.
6. If the issue persists, contact the control unit manufacturer or the vehicle R&D center.
