Symptom
During an ECU upgrade, the command specifying the upgrade address and size receives a negative response 31 from the ECU, causing the upgrade to fail.
Cause
Response code 31 (Request Out of Range) indicates that the request used a format or range incompatible with the ECU Specification. This usually occurs when software not intended for that ECU is used.
Solution
Verify that the software is compatible with the specific ECU model and within the supported parameters. Retry the upgrade using software that matches the ECU Specification.
