This issue can be resolved by adjusting the vehicle IG status, verifying the upgrade mode, and removing aftermarket devices.
Symptom
Error “7000-10-7F22” occurs immediately after starting the upgrade or during an early stage, preventing the upgrade process from starting.
Cause
- The engine is running, preventing the communication conditions from being met (IG On is required)
- Incorrect upgrade mode selection (Automatic/Manual)
- An aftermarket device is interfering with communication initialization
- Unstable voltage is preventing the ECU from remaining ready for communication
Resolution
Step 1) Adjust the IG Status
With the engine OFF, switch to IG On.
(Most ECUs do not allow communication to open while the engine is running.)
Step 2) Verify the Upgrade Mode
Confirm that the correct ECU/category is selected in Automatic or Manual mode.
Step 3) Remove Aftermarket Devices
Remove all dash cams, communication modules, taxi equipment, and other devices that may interfere with communication, and then retry the upgrade.
Step 4) Stabilize the Vehicle Voltage
If the battery voltage is low, connect an external power supply or battery maintainer.
Step 5) Perform a Vehicle Power Reset
CAUTION: Disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal may reset certain vehicle settings.
1) Turn the vehicle power completely OFF.
2) Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal for at least 5 minutes.
3) Reconnect the terminal, and then retry the upgrade.
