What should be checked if an issue occurs during Special (Noise) Inspection?

When attempting to use Special Inspection, the engine data is not displayed on the function screen, preventing the inspection from proceeding. This issue has been reported on HEV vehicles.

: Noise measurements on HEV vehicles require forced RPM operation. Therefore, the ECU must be upgraded. Verify that the ECU upgrade has been completed. Because the system controls the RPM automatically, do not press the accelerator pedal. Confirm that the RPM increases without accelerator pedal input.

A message requests vehicle information (Mileage and RO number) and the VIN, even though this information has already been entered.

: The VIN displayed on the screen is populated automatically based on the selected Vehicle Model. However, to initiate AUTO VIN, click the 'Verify' button on the right. If AUTO VIN authentication fails after clicking 'Verify', the vehicle's VIN may not be registered. In this case, AUTO VIN can be enabled by manually entering the VIN using the VIN Write function in S/W Management.

The message “Note: There are no events for this vehicle” is displayed.

: This occurs when the Vehicle Model is not supported. Verify that the current vehicle information is correct.

A pop-up message regarding a cable connection issue may appear. #noiseless

Possible causes include:

A malfunctioning cable
A defective Type-C adapter
A damaged tablet Type-C port (or AUX port)

If a connection issue occurs, ensure that the cable is fully inserted and securely connected. Select the appropriate Type-C adapter for the tablet as follows:

For devices equipped with both Type-C and AUX ports: Connect the cable to the AUX port.
For models equipped only with a Type-C port: Only the ALPHA MIC adapter supplied by GIT is compatible (Model Name: ALT384). Alternatively, purchase the KNOCK SENSOR CABLE ( G1XTD CP384QQH ).
