KDS 2.0 | Usability Improvements | Actuation Test | UI Enhancements and Video Guide Support

1) Feature Overview

This update redesigns the Actuation Test screens to provide quick access to essential information and allow each item to be performed safely. 

• Main list screen: Only the description (Desc.) and operating conditions are displayed for a cleaner layout. Use the Unfold button for each item to access its details. The list sorting function remains unchanged.

• Detail view screen: Items with function descriptions and video support are clearly distinguished from unsupported items, providing a more streamlined workflow.

   

2) Before and After

Before

The operating time, operating status, and Start button were all displayed in the main list, which could reduce readability. 

After

The operating time, operating status, and Start button have been removed from the list and moved to the detail view screen for a simpler interface. The main list displays only the description (Desc.) and operating conditions. Use the Unfold button (toggle) for each item to access detailed operating condition information.

3) Function Descriptions and Video Support (Detail View Screen)

• Function descriptions and videos are currently available for the BMS system on EV vehicles. A list of supported vehicles will be provided later.

• When accessing [Actuation Test]-[Battery Management System], a video thumbnail (preview) is displayed. Click or tap Start to play the video immediately.

  

• For vehicle models that do not support video guides, the screen includes the operating conditions, operating status, and operation buttons (Start/Stop), allowing users to review the required safety information before operating the function. The image below is an example.
