Symptom
Error “7000-10-7F22” occurs immediately after the upgrade is initiated or during an early stage, preventing the upgrade from starting.
Cause
- The engine is running, preventing the vehicle from meeting the communication conditions (IG On is required)
- Incorrect upgrade mode selection (Auto/Manual)
- An aftermarket device is interfering with communication initialization
- Unstable voltage is preventing the ECU from remaining ready for communication
Resolution
Step 1) Adjust the IG On Status
With the engine OFF, switch to IG On.
(Most ECUs do not permit Open Communication while the engine is running.)
Step 2) Confirm the Upgrade Mode
Verify that the correct ECU/category is selected in Auto or Manual mode.
Step 3) Remove Aftermarket Devices
Remove all devices that may interfere with communication, including dashcams, communication modules, and taxi equipment, and then retry the upgrade.
Step 4) Stabilize the Vehicle Voltage
If the battery voltage is low, connect an external battery support unit.
Step 5) Perform a Vehicle Power Reset
Caution: Disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal may reset some vehicle settings.
1) Turn the vehicle power completely OFF.
2) Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal for at least 5 minutes.
3) Reconnect the terminal, and then retry the upgrade.
