Symptom
During an ECU upgrade, the ECU returns negative response code 31 for the command specifying the upgrade address and size, causing the upgrade to fail.
Cause
Response code 31 (Request Out of Range) indicates that the request uses a format or range that is incompatible with the ECU Specification. This usually occurs when software not intended for the ECU is used.
Solution
Verify that the software is compatible with the specific ECU model and within the supported parameters. Retry the upgrade using software that matches the ECU Specification.
