KDS 2.0 | Usability Improvement | Actuation Test | UI Improvements and Video Guide Support

1) Feature Overview

This update redesigns the Actuation Test screens to provide faster access to essential information and allow each item to be performed safely. 

• Default list screen: Only the description (Desc.) and operating conditions are displayed. Select the Unfold button for an item to open its detail view. The list sorting function remains unchanged.

• Detail view screen: Items that support feature descriptions and video guides are clearly distinguished from unsupported items to provide a clearer workflow.

   

2) Before and After

Before

The operating time, operating status, and Start button were all displayed in the default list, which could reduce screen readability. 

After

The operating time, operating status, and Start button have been removed from the list and moved to the detail view, simplifying the interface. The default list displays only the description (Desc.) and operating conditions. Select the Unfold button (toggle) for an item to view detailed operating condition information.

3) Feature Descriptions and Video Guide Support (Detail View Screen)

• Feature descriptions and video guides are currently available for the BMS systems of EV vehicles. A list of supported vehicles will be provided later.

• When you navigate to [Actuation Test] - [Battery Management System], a video thumbnail (preview) is displayed. Click or tap Start to play the video immediately.

  

• For vehicle models that do not support video guides, the screen displays the operating conditions, operating status, and control buttons (Start/Stop). This allows users to review the required safety information before performing the operation. The image below is an example.
