[KDS 2.0] Important In-App Notices: Android 15 and Software Update Guidance

Dear Customers,

To ensure stable operation of our products, updating to Android 15 is strictly prohibited.
We have identified compatibility issues between Android 15 and our diagnostic application that may cause diagnostic functions and core services to malfunction.

In particular, devices updated to Android 15 cannot use the ‘Internet Update’ function properly.
This prevents users from updating software and data. Please exercise caution.

Please note that Android 15 compatibility with our diagnostic application is currently being verified, and the verification completion date has not yet been determined.
Once compatibility is confirmed and Android 15 is supported, we will issue a separate notice with further instructions.

• All Android devices eligible for an OS 15 upgrade

⚠️ Required Actions

• Please disable automatic system updates on your device.

• If your device has already been updated, please contact our customer support team for assistance.

We are working diligently to resolve these issues and minimize customer inconvenience.

🔍 What Is the Issue?

When Smart Launcher is updated to version 1.256, a message appears instructing the user to relaunch Smart Launcher after the update. However, this message is incorrect.

If you relaunch Smart Launcher after the update:

• It may initiate the user authentication process, and

• It may reinstall the initial version of the diagnostic application, reversing the update.

⚠️ This may cause the diagnostic application to roll back to its initial version.
If this occurs, you must download and reinstall the latest version through Internet Update, which may require additional time and network resources.
Take special care not to relaunch Smart Launcher after the update.

✅ What You Should Do Instead

Until the application is corrected:

• Install the latest version of Smart Launcher.

• Do NOT relaunch Smart Launcher after the update.

• Instead, launch the Diagnostic App directly to run the update process again.

If the connection to the update server fails, reset the server settings:
Configuration → Server → [Reset] → [Save]

An updated version that corrects the misleading message will be released soon.
