What should be checked if a problem occurs during the Special (Noise) Inspection?

1. When attempting to use the Special Inspection function, engine data is not displayed on the function screen, preventing the inspection from proceeding (observed on HEV vehicles).

: Noise measurement on HEV vehicles requires forced engine RPM operation. Therefore, the ECU must be upgraded. Confirm that the ECU upgrade has been completed. Because the system automatically performs forced engine operation, do not press the accelerator pedal. Verify that the engine RPM increases without accelerator pedal input.

2. A message requests vehicle information (Mileage and RO number) and the VIN, even though this information has already been entered.

: The VIN displayed on the screen is automatically populated based on the selected Vehicle Model. However, to start AUTO VIN, click the 'Verify' button on the right. If AUTO VIN verification fails after you click 'Verify', the VIN may not be registered in the vehicle. In this case, activate AUTO VIN by manually entering the VIN using the VIN Write function in S/W Management.

3. The message “Note: There are no events for this vehicle” is displayed.

: This occurs when the Vehicle Model is not supported. Verify that the current vehicle information is correct.

4. A pop-up message regarding a cable connection issue may appear. #noiseless

Possible causes include:

• A malfunctioning cable
• A defective USB Type-C adapter
• A damaged USB Type-C port (or AUX port) on the tablet

If a connection issue occurs, ensure that the cable is fully and securely connected. Select the appropriate adapter based on the tablet configuration as follows:

• For devices equipped with both USB Type-C and AUX ports: Connect the cable to the AUX port.

• For models equipped only with a USB Type-C port: Only the GIT ALPHA MIC adapter is compatible (Model Name: ALT384). Alternatively, purchase the KNOCK SENSOR CABLE ( G1XTD CP384QQH ).
