[Installation Guide] Kia KDS 2.0 Migration to the New Server (Revised February 24, 2025)

Participation in the migration campaign is essential

to continue using the diagnostic applications

This simplified guide will help you complete the installation process. For detailed installation instructions, download the PDF at the bottom of this page. 

Preparation — download the attached user guide for additional details

• Ensure that Google Play Protect is turned off.
• Ensure that your tablet has at least 40 GB of free storage and is running Android OS 8.0 or later.
• Ensure that the tablet is connected to a Wi-Fi network that allows access to external websites.
• Save your licence key from Configuration > User Profile. 
• If error code INT00M1 occurred, remove the old files as described in the attached user guide.

Step 1: Download the Latest Version of Smart Launcher

Step 2: Authenticate Using Your Licence Key and ID

• Launch Smart Launcher, then enter your valid licence key and ID to authenticate your account.

Step 3: Download Resources and Complete the Installation

• The required resources will be downloaded automatically. The installation will begin after the download is complete.

Step 4: Run KDS 2.0 and Verify the Version

• After the installation is complete, launch KDS 2.0 and check the version information to confirm that the application is connected to the new server.
