KDS 2.0 | Usability Improvements | Actuation Test | UI Improvements and Video Guide Support

1) Feature Overview

This update redesigns the Actuation Test screens to provide quick access to essential information and allow each item to be performed safely. 

• Main list screen: Only the description (Desc.) and actuation conditions are displayed. Select the Unfold button for an item to open its detailed view. The list sorting function remains unchanged.

• Detailed view screen: Items with function descriptions and video support are clearly differentiated from unsupported items to provide a more straightforward workflow.

   

2) Before and After

The actuation time, actuation status, and Start button were displayed together in the main list, which could reduce readability. 

After

The actuation time, actuation status, and Start button have been removed from the list. Operations are now performed from the detailed view for a simplified interface. The main list displays only the description (Desc.) and actuation conditions. Select the Unfold button (toggle) for an item to view detailed actuation condition information.

3) Function Description and Video Support (Detailed View Screen)

• Function descriptions and videos are currently available for the BMS system on EVs. A list of supported vehicles will be provided at a later date.

• When accessing [Actuation Test]-[Battery Management System], a video thumbnail (preview) is displayed. Select or tap Start to play the video immediately.

  

• For vehicle models that do not support video guides, the screen includes the actuation conditions, actuation status, and actuation buttons (Start/Stop). This allows technicians to review the required safety information before performing the operation. The image below is an example.
