Solution for ACU Variant Coding Failure

🐞 Symptom

You are attempting to perform ACU (Airbag Control Unit) Variant Coding, but the procedure cannot continue because an existing DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) is present in the airbag system.

🔍 Cause

Airbag system Variant Coding may fail in the following cases:

• A vehicle-side fault in the airbag system
• A mismatch with EOL (End of Line) coding information

To resolve the issue, check the DTC details. After identifying and correcting the root cause, you can retry Variant Coding.

🛠️ Solution

Follow the steps below when ACU Variant Coding cannot be performed because of a DTC:

1. Check the airbag DTC, and then click the DTC code.

   

2. Click "DTC Status".

   

3. Correct the cause indicated by the Information Code.

After correcting the cause and clearing the DTC, retry ACU Variant Coding.
